Travel & Transportation

Travel To Dallas

Dallas is served by two airports - Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), a large international airport, and Dallas Love (DAL) which is more regional and near the city center.  American Airlines and Southwest Airlines have large hubs in the area!

Travel Within Dallas

Transportation will be provided to key wedding events, and Uber is reliable getting to and from the airport and exploring the city.  There are also car rentals at both airports and parking available at the Fairmont.

Dallas has one of the most vibrant food scenes so you can feel confident that you can find whatever suits your tastes. We wanted to highlight a few restaurants that we enjoy on a regular basis.

El Fenix

The Hoffmans and El Fenix go back a long way! This was actually the location of Hilary's Grandparents reception almost 70 years ago!

Mi Cocina

Mi Cocina has several locations in the Dallas Area - it's a very casual neighborhood spot with excellent Tex Mex.

Savor Gastropub

Located in the heart of Klyde Warren Park near both the Fairmont Hotel and the Nasher Sculpture Center, this could be a great choice for a drink or a bite to eat between the ceremony and the reception.

The Rustic

If you are in the mood to get some good bar food and listen to live music the Rustic hosts small acts and large ones in their enormous outdoor seating area.

Dallas has long been a center for the arts, boasting a number of world's best museums. Below are a couple worth going out of your way for:

The Sixth Floor Museum

Built to memorialize the events of November 22nd 1963, one of the darkest days in America's history. The Sixth floor museum explores the events surrounding the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The museum serves as an opportunity to explore both the events and the reactions of the American people to this event.

Located next to the Nasher Sculpture center the museum collection is made up of more than 24,000 objects, dating from the third millennium BC to the present day.

Getting Ready

For anyone looking to get ready before the big day, here are some great Dallas spots!

Bliss Dallas

Great for a nice mani/pedi or a massage about a 15 minute walk or short Uber ride from the hotel

Great national blowout chain with fun "styles" (Hilary's favorite is the Mai Tai).  About a 10 minute Uber from the hotel
